Policy statement on child safeguarding

The practice recognises that all children have a right to protection from abuse and neglect and the Practice accepts its responsibility to safeguard the welfare of all children with whom staff may come into contact.

If you have a concern regarding the treatment of a child registered at the practice or a more general concern about their welfare you can

  • speak to your own GP
  • Speak to the clinical safeguarding lead Dr Orton
  • Speak to the clinical safeguarding deputy lead Dr Suntharalingam
  • speak to the administrative safeguarding lead and practice manager Mark O'Neill
  • speak directly to childrens social services through theor multi-agency safeguarding hub (MASH) on 0300 470 9100

Adult safeguarding

Adults can suffer from abuse in many different ways as well. Some groups such as the elderly and frail, are at particular risk of abuse and harm. Safeguarding adults is about protecting those at risk of harm (vulnerable adults) from suffering abuse or neglect.
