Dr Rusk has taken over Dr Holbrook's list of patients
Having reached 60 years of age, and after 22 years of service, Dr Holbrook retired from the Practice on 4th April 2019, he plans to continue to work in medicine. Dr Rusk will become the lead GP for his list, with Dr Mohan remaining as the other GP for the list.
Dr Holbrook will remain with the practice for a short period following this, covering Dr Orton's list and the minor surgery waiting list, whilst a successor to job share Dr Orton's list is appointed.
Dr Rusk is an experienced GP and joined the practice as a part-time salaried General Practitioner in January 2017. Dr Rusk trained at Guy’s, King’s and St Thomas’ School of Medicine, London, graduating in 2001. She went on to do her postgraduate medical training in Sussex, before qualifying as a GP in 2006. After moving back to Epsom in 2009 she continued to work as a salaried GP in Sussex but decided to make the move to a position closer to home due to the needs of her growing family.
A Message from Dr Holbrook
Dr Holbrook would like to thank all patients for their kind words, card and gifts he received on the news of his retirement. It was very much appreciated.
Communication by text messages
We can communicate appointment reminders, test results and other messages by text message. Please ensure your mobile phone number is up to date if you would like us to provide this service to you. If you do not want us to communicate by text message please inform reception so we can opt you out of this service on our computer system.
Forms for GP's to complete
Please can patients allow up to one week for GPs to complete forms that are requested to be completed by a GP. If a request is urgent please inform the receptionist and the GP will try to accommodate this, however it may not always be possible and we encourage patients not to leave forms without allowing adequate time for the GP to complete them.
We have said a sad farewell to 3 of our experienced receptionist/front desk staff due to retirements. We have recruited 2 new members of staff and as with any new job this comes with a whole lot of new learning for them and we would be grateful if our patients can bear with us during this transition period
