Welcome to Spring Street Surgery

Welcome to our website which we hope you will find both useful and informative.

The practice has been in existence on this site since 1971.  Dr Orton joined the partnership in October 1995 and Dr Suntharalingam became a partner in March 2010 having joined the practice in 2005. Dr Rusk has taken over Dr Holbrooks list of patients since his retirement in April 2019. She is an experienced GP and joined Spring Street Surgery in 2017. We have three other job-sharing GPs: Dr Nishanthi Gunasekera,  Dr Lavanya Mohan and Dr Lara Morris.

The current health centre was opened in August 2003. We offer a state-of-the-art setting for modern general practice with patient parking and disabled access and facilities. We share the building with one other GP practice, an NHS dental service and Central Surrey Health community health staff.

The following is our practice vision

  • To provide the best possible medical care to our patients
  • To treat all our patients with courtesy, compassion and respect
  • To promote good health and well being to our patients
  • To ensure all staff receive appropriate training and support
  • To encourage reflective practice by sharing and learning from mistakes and near misses
  • To keep up to date with guidance on best practice and governance
  • To consider economic and environmental sustainability in the provision of healthcare

Surgery Afternoon Closure

The surgery will be closed on Wednesday 26th February 2020 from 12:30 for a staff training day.     If you have an urgent need for an appointment please call 111  or 999 in an emergency.  We will be open again on Thursday 27th February at 08:30.

Novel Coronavirus

The advice to the public is to call NHS 111 now if they have been:

  • to Wuhan or Hubei Province in China in the last 14 days (even if they do not have symptoms)
  • to other parts of China, including Macau and Hong Kong, in the last 14 days and have a cough, high temperature or shortness of breath (even if it's mild)
  • to Thailand, Japan, Taiwan, Singapore, Republic of Korea or Malaysia in the last 14 days and have a cough, high temperature or shortness of breath (even if it's mild)
  • in close contact with someone with confirmed coronavirus.

Anyone who meets the above criteria is advised not to go to a GP surgery, community pharmacy or hospital. Instead they should call NHS 111, stay indoors and avoid close contact with other people.
