Accurx Scribe – Helping Your Clinician During Your Consultation

We are pleased to offer Accurx Scribe, a digital tool that helps our clinicians with the documentation of your consultation.

What is Accurx Scribe?

Accurx Scribe uses technology to listen to your consultation and create a draft clinical note for your clinician. This allows your clinician to spend more time focusing on you and your healthcare, rather than typing notes during your appointment.

The clinician remains responsible for reviewing the information and making sure the final consultation record is accurate before it is added to your medical record.

How does it work?

If your clinician is using Accurx Scribe during your consultation:

• They will explain that they are using the scribe and ask for your consent.
• The tool listens to the conversation during the consultation.
• It creates a draft summary of the consultation.
• Your clinician reviews and edits the draft before saving it to your medical record and then deleted.
• The recording is not intended to replace your clinician's professional judgement.

Is my information safe?

Your privacy is extremely important to us. Accurx Scribe is designed to support clinicians while maintaining the confidentiality of your healthcare information.

Your clinician will explain how the scribe is being used and you can ask questions or choose not to have the scribe used during your consultation.

Do I have to agree to use Accurx Scribe?

No. Using Accurx Scribe is optional. Your care will not be affected if you choose not to have it used.

If you do not wish your consultation to be recorded using Accurx Scribe, please let your clinician know.

Why are we using Accurx Scribe?

Our aim is to reduce the amount of time clinicians spend typing during consultations and allow them to focus more fully on listening to and caring for our patients.

Accurx Scribe can also help clinicians produce clearer and more complete consultation notes and referral letters.
